Performer Spotlight! Every so often, The Playground Theater likes to highlight a performer and give them a moment to talk about their time and feelings in comedy. This week, we’ve chosen to give the spotlight to Nick Polk.
Q: What things have you been a part of at the playground?
A: I have put up “Another Comedy Party,” a fun variety show here. I’ve opened for the real housewives of improv which was insanely fun.
Q: How long have you been performing?
A: I have been performing for about four years now.
Q: What drew you to improv/comedy?
A: Growing up, I would watch comedians having so much fun and I wanted to do that.
Q: What’s been your proudest moment doing comedy?
A: Doing the comedy studies program at Columbia College and producing and putting up “Improvised Dance Moms.”
Q: What upcoming shows do you have?
-Improvised Dance Moms – Annoyance Theater – 1/19 – 2/23 – 930 pm Sundays
-Hot Clown sex – Annoyance Theater- Tuesdays 8 pm in January
-Nick and Grace Have You Been Drinking – The Demaat Theater – 1/17 at 7 pm
